Tara Devi Temple Shimla - Tara Devi a beautiful temple, which is located around mountainous sceneries and is 11 kms away from Shimla bus stand.The temple derives its name from the Tarav hill it is located on.

The temple was built approximately 250 years ago by King of Sen Dynasty who was visitng Shimla. It is said that he was instructed to buid the temple for Maa Durga in his dream. Temple was added upon by the kings that followed.

The road connectivity of the temple from Shoghi recently has allowed the devotees to arrive in thousands to pay homage to Maa Tara Devi. The road has also helped to boost up the construction and development activities at the temple.
