Kufri is a famous hill station in Himachal Pradesh which is just 19 Km away from Shimla. It is situated at 2500 meters above sea level. This hill station is well known for skiing during winter. Kufri was once a part of Kingdom of Nepal and was obscure from the rest of the world till 1819 when Britishers discovered it and brought it to limelight. This place is just a blessing in disguise of the British Rule in India as it is one of the most famous tourist spot in India now.

Horse and Yak ride: In summers people can enjoy joy rides on horses and yaks.
Skiing: In winters skiing is the main attraction.
Mahasu Peak: It is the highest peak in Kufri. One can hike to Mahasu Peak through forest for adventure.
Himalayan Nature Park: This Park is situated at 2600meters above sea level. It is a natural habitat for the Himalayan animals like musk deer, black bear, sambhar, Tibetan wolf, cheer pheasant, barking deer, monal, white –crested kaleej, etc. Herbs like balsams, potentillas etc are grown in abundance. In winters the Himalayan Nature Park in covered with snow and acts as a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Himalayas. The overview of snow clad Himalayan Peaks from this park is utterly awesome.
Kufri has become the prime destination of all the tourists who love adventure and are interested to tour beautiful sceneries. You can also tour Fagu which is a nearby hill station.
